Anne Sloan Borland and Margaret M Tobin Awards for Outstanding Library Research

Anne Sloan Borland 1927-2001

Anne Sloan Boarland was a graduate of Seton Hill. She was a longtime Junita Valley Audubon Society (JVAS) member, as well as serving in many positions including Chair of the JVAS, secretary, fund raising chair, and hospitality chair. 

Anne truley loved her community and many endowments have been established in her name. 

Margaret M Tobin 1928-1986

Margaret M Tobin was born in Scranton Pennsylvania in 1928. In 1950 she received her BA from Marywood College, later the same year she was appointed to Saint Francis as an Instructor of Librarianship.

Margaret M Tobin had many accomplishments, below are listed a few of them 

-1958 : She received her Masters in Education from Duquesne University and was appointed Assistant Professor of Librarianship. 
-1963 : Became Associate professor of Librarianship and an Associate Librarian.
-1965 : Appointed Director of Library Science Program
-1966 : Becomes Head Librarian. 

Margaret M Tobin passed away in 1986 at the age of 58.
