Primary Category: Physical/Sensory Motor Development
Subcategories: Eye/Hand Coordination, Motor Planning, Fine Motor Skills, Problem Solving
Description of how the game can be used to fit the categories: This game is a fun way for players to develop physical skills. This game promotes eye/hand coordination because the players must use the magnet to line it up with the bug and then move their arm to be able to actually pick up the bug piece. Motor planning is involved in this game when the player has to figure out how to move their hand and arm with the magnet to line up with the bug pieces on the board. Then they must figure out how to move the bug piece without it falling off of the magnet. Fine motor skills are incorporated into this activity because the player can either hold the magnet to remove the pieces from the board or use their hands to pick up and move the bug pieces. Problem solving skills are required for this activity because the players must figure out how to line up the bug pieces with the magnet in order to be able to remove them from the board.
