In 1990, through the generosity of the Wolf-Kuhn Foundation of Altoona, Saint Francis College established the Institute for Ethics, now the Wolf-Kuhn Ethics Institute. For 24 years, Dr. Michael McKale, professor of religious studies, has directed the educational and outreach efforts of the center. In that time, he has brought more than two dozen notable, enlightening, and accomplished speakers to campus as well as amassed a collection of resources in the Institute's library. Dr. Arthur Remillard assumed the role of director of the Wolf-Kuhn Ethics Institute in 2019, and it is now under the direction of Dr. Brian T. Besong.
