  1. List up to two authors Ex(s): (Falan, 2013) or (Smith & Peters, 2018)
  2. Three or more authors Ex: (Walters et al., 2003)
  3. No author(s) mimic the formatting in the refence list, italics or “ “.  Ex(s): Book: (Exit West, 2017) or Article: (“Household density”, 2020)
  4. A corporate author with a well-known acronym. Ex. 1st citation: (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention [CDC], 2020) Subsequent: (CDC, 2020)
Citing Parts of a Work: provide an author-date citation for the work plus information about the specific part. (Smith & Peters, 2018, p. 59)
Other abbreviations for parts:
Ex(s): Chapter 4, pp. 29-30, para. 3, paras. 2-4, Table 3, Slide 7, Part 2, 1:30:40, etc.

Include a DOI for all works that have a DOI, regardless of whether you used the print or online version.

If an online work has a DOI and a URL, include only the DOI.
