Institute for Ethics

In 1990, through the generosity of the Wolf-Kuhn Foundation of Altoona, Saint Francis College established the Institute for Ethics.  For 24 years, Dr. Michael McKale, professor of religious studies, has directed the educational and outreach efforts of the center.  In that time, he has brought more than two dozen notable, enlightening, and accomplished speakers to campus as well as amassed a collection of resources in the Institute's library.  As of 2018, Dr. McKale has passed this responsibility onto another.  Dr. Kyle Thomsen will assume the role of executive director of the Institute for Ethics in the Spring of 2018.
