Workshops are being offered through online modules only during Fall 2020.

 

Select the date or month using the arrows on the calendar to identify a workshop session that suits your schedule. Workshop links listed under the calendar lead to the registration page for that specific workshop. Or you can: Browse All Workshops

Information about Workshop Completion

First-Year Students enrolled in CORE 113 are required to attend one session of each of the following workshops:       

  •     Your Academic Library
  •     Search Databases
  •     Resource Evaluation (online module)
  •     Avoid Plagiarism
  •     Either MLA Citation or APA Citation (as required by professor or based on your major)

Workshops are taught in progression following the above sequence throughout the semester.

Registration is required!  Register early!    

  • Each session offers twenty seats and closes one hour before the workshop!
  • Some Monday evening sessions are offered.  
  • The complete schedule of workshops is posted before the 1st day of classes and runs through the second to last week of the semester.
  • Bring your I.D. & laptop, fully charged.

    A checkmark posted in the workshop column notes the successful completion of a workshop.

Which citation workshop should I take?

APA Citation...You might want to take this workshop if you major is... Communications, Education, Psychology, Social Work or in the School of Business & the School of Health Sciences (except PT).

MLA Citation...You might want to take this workshop if you major is... Literature & Languages, Philosophy/Religious Studies, Sociology/Criminal Justice or in the School of Sciences.

AMA Citation...You might want to take this workshop if you major is... Physical Therapy.

All freshmen students are assigned a librarian to assist them with the transition to library research in an academic setting.
